The next Red Hill community market is on November 1 – Cup Day weekend.
Renowned as the ‘grand dame’ of Victoria’s craft markets, the Red Hill market has been going since 1975.
It was originally an event where local producers could sell their produce and has evolved into over 300 stall holders.
From fresh fruit and vegetables, cakes, glass wares and art work – there’s something for all family members to taste, look at and buy.
With an 8am start, many Red Hill market visitors like to start at the stalls that sell tasty breakfast treats: from coffee and pancakes, to egg and bacon rolls.
The Red Hill community market is located at the Red Hill Recreation Reserve – corner of Arthurs Seat Rd and Arkwells Lane, Red Hill
Other things to note:
Dogs – aren’t permitted in the market area, unless you’re training a Seeing Eye Dogs Australia puppy with a training jacket on!
Parking – it’s only a $4 fee to park and with all proceeds going to the Red Hill Lions Club it’s better than getting booked by the Mornington Peninsula Shire parking officers!
